Many brethren will be aware of the sad death of Paul Dolphin the son of Joy and W Bro Gary Dolphin, Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works and Secretary of Gooch Lodge No 1295. Gary and Joy would like to say a huge “thank you”, for the support given to them by everyone, following the tragic death of their son Paul.
"We have been totally overwhelmed by the messages of love and support, not only from family and friends, but also from the many members of our Masonic 'family' throughout Wiltshire.
Joy and I could not have been offered or indeed given more support than we have had over the past few weeks, and it is that support from everyone that has enabled us to see a glimmer of light at the end of what was a seemingly endless tunnel. Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth are the three core principles in Freemasonry, we have received all three in abundance during this difficult time; it has made me realise even more, how important Freemasonry is to our lives.
Life for us has changed forever, but with time we're sure that things will get better, not only for Joy and myself, but also for Paul's loving partner Rachael, and of course their beautiful daughter, our 8 year old grand-daughter Jenna.
We would like to thank everyone who attended Paul's funeral, held at Christ Church, Swindon, on Thursday 24 May, it was a fitting service celebrating his brilliant life, and was attended by a huge number of family, friends, and Freemasons from far and wide.
The photograph shows Paul with Joy and me, at a family wedding, just 12 days before his tragic accident, it was a perfect day for everyone, and it is how we will always remember him".
Thank you for all the kindness shown, Gary and Joy.
Thanks for the new website, it looks like a great improvement, much easier to use and much more informative.
